HT/FT – Betting on Equally Matched Teams – Evaluation

Here are the tables for the different combination bets based on the best odds I could find. I have not inserted the individual bookmaker links due to time constraints, but in any case, the odds constantly change and better odds may always be found elsewhere as demand and supply fluctuates before an event (click on each table to enlarge: opens in a new tab).

Combination bet X1 (draw/home) for 22.01.2011

System X1 Experiment Two - Home/Home combination weighted staking plan

(Best Available Odds)

System X1 Experiment Two - Away/Away combination weighted staking plan

Combination bet 22 (away/away) for 22.01.2011
(Best Available Odds)

System X1 Experiment Two - Full-time Draw result weighted staking plan

Combining the original set of 10 matches and their results with the odds shown above (assuming the HT/FT and FT draw odds are fairly similar and the statistical distribution of each match-day is also fairly similar), profit and loss would look as follows:

  • 3 x draw/draw (XX): Profit £68.98
  • 2 x home/home (11): Profit £3.77
  • 2 x away/away (22): Profit £3.64
  • 1 x draw/home (X1): Loss -£33.00
  • 4 x draw (X): Profit £37.96

The HT/FT combination of draw/draw (XX) or just betting on the full-time draw (X) look the most promising prospects from this analysis. In the conclusion to this series I will analyse the results of the matches in experiment 2 and publish my overall evaluation.

Very interesting analysis pertaining to the HT/FT betting differences, etc. I appreciate your effort in doing all this and making it public knowledge.
